North Carolina Museum of History

Knights of the Black Flag - Today we went to a pirate exhibition that featured items from Blackbeard's flagship "Queen Anne's Revenge". Highlights of the exhibition include...artifacs such as cannons and gold pieces from the shipwreck and much more. Miguel had a blast! We also saw exhibits about the Vietnam War, Civil War and World War II with lots of cool spy stuff. After that, we had a scrumpcious lunch at Woody's downtown Raleigh.

Lua de mel em Asheville, NC

Nossa lua de mel foi curtinha, mas maravilhosa. Fomos para Asheville, que fica nas montanhas. Fomos para um festival de Bluegrass e ficamos em um hotel muito lindo. Tudo foi otimo!!!

A pedidos...

Como tem muita gente me pedindo fotos do casamento e etc, resolvi colocar aqui... Ai vai. Essas sao as fotos do casamento civil. Nos casamos na Court House e depois o pai do Bob nos levou para jantar fora... Em junho vamos ter uma bencao e fazer um churrasco para celebrar minha mudanca de vez para Hickory. :)

Miguel's speech about Brazil

Last week, Miguel was invited by his leader in the cub scouts to present something about Brazil. He got excited about it and we planned together. He took the flag and some pictures. He was supposed to read something in Portuguese and translate to the other boys. Then he would teach them some words in Portuguese. He was all proud and did a great job! Everybody asked questions and enjoyed his presentation.

Museum of Natural Science

On March 16th there was a special exibition in the Museum and all the boy scouts were invited. There were all kinds and sizes of reptiles and amphibians. It was pretty cool and we had the opportunity to learn and touch. :)

Mom's Bridal Shower

Our friends Paola and Angelica organized a Bridal Shower for me this past weekend. It was really nice to be with my special friends in Sanford. Everything was so beautiful and the food delicious! Miguel and Bob went fishing while we had our little party. :)

Spring Concert

Spring Concert at J. Glenn Edwards - Here we go to Miguel's class spring concert...he was very happy and taking everything pretty seriously. Thay sang two songs, "Banana" and "Do a deer", I think this is how it's called. It was very cute!

Pack 942 Blue & Gold Ceremony

Feb 21, 2009 was Miguel's Cub Scout's dinner and awards. We had a delicious dinner and Miguel got all his awards. He was happy and proud of himself. Now he's a wolf!!
